Group Rehabilitation Clinical Pilates

Reformer Pilates

Group Rehabilitation is Physiotherapy lead Pilates using the Allegro-2 reformer, trapeze table and light weights.

Group Rehabilitation at 4Lane Physiotherapy is implemented by a Physiotherapist and is designed to improve the following:

  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Balance
  • Core strength and posture development
  • Reduce chronic and acute pain
  • Prevention of injuries
  • Faster recovery from injury
  • Overall wellbeing

Where to begin: The 40-minute Group Rehabilitation Assessment

At 4Lane Physiotherapy our team will start with an assessment where we take a detailed past and present medical history before assessing your movement patterns, mobility and flexibility. From there you will be guided through a number of sessions depending on your injury, skill and fitness. A portion of this assessment will be devoted to discussing your goals and making a plan as to whether you would like to continue 1:1 or integrate into small groups.

Group Rehabilitation Sessions

Our group sessions are 55-minutes long. These sessions will include exercise on the reformer, trapeze table, balance boards, exercise balls, floor work and free weights. We are so proud to have the Allegro-2 Reformers and trapeze table available to our clients. If you have never tried them before – you don’t know what you’re missing!

All patients complete their own tailored program (based on their specific injury or goals). The classes are fully supervised by a trained Physiotherapist to ensure safety and maximum results. There are a maximum of five people in each group class. Some people will naturally require more attention than others. If this is you, opting for a one on one may be more suitable.

We sell the Move Active Pilates socks at the 4Lane Physiotherapy reception for $20.

Ongoing Assessment

As of 1 April 2019 due to the changes healthcare reforms we are now required to frequently re-assesses and if required, treat our patients whilst you are completing your group rehabilitation program. This is because your rehabilitation programs are individualised (in order to claim under your health fund), even though completed in a group setting. This way we can accurately monitor your progress, document, and make necessary changes to your rehabilitation program so you get even better results!
